Carbon Dioxide (CO₂)

Overview

Carbon Dioxide is used as a shielding gas blend in MIG welding, as a carbonating agent for beverages, and in industrial cooling and food-chilling applications. It is also the source gas for producing solid CO2 (Dry Ice).

Key Characteristics

• Colorless gas with a slightly acidic odor at high concentration
• Heavier than air
• Non-flammable
• Also supplied in solid form as Dry Ice
